GIG, as you have often shared that God speaks a lot to you while you're brushing your teeth (I said it's cause it's the only time we aren't talking and our focus is just on a background conditioned task, God talks to you. lol.) God talks to me a lot while in the Shower. hahaha. (must be cause that's the only time I am isolated and not surrounded by anyone at all, including loved ones.)
I heard it so clearly as I turned on the shower tap- "Pray for this nation". The pain that followed immediately thereafter was as if my heart was in pain and at its breaking point for people. I felt His grief and compassion. The Lord is thinking of us! God does not put you through any testing or trial so that you take it and remember only that. Upon victory and overcoming, He brings you to a new level of intimacy with Him. Lately, the words to me from Him have been "Do not forget your mission! Do not forget your call!" He keeps reminding me of the battle that we wage "not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and wicked spirits in high places". (reminded of a friend's words, "in a war when everything seems to be fine and nothing is going wrong around you- BE AWARE! BE ON YOUR GUARD! You're being lulled into a false sense of security.") How true this is about the battle we fight to extend His Kingdom. Testings and trials keep us on our toes; they are the exercises that help us increase in faith and hear Him more clearly and more accurately.
I was reminded then about these verses in the bible "Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest." Matthew 9:35-38
I was forced to examine my heart again these few days when I read the news of the train disruptions (I am a regular commuter too but the Lord has been merciful and I have not been caught in any of these disruptions at all) but felt myself boiling over with anger at the situation and the frustrations of the average joe, those who serve the public should really experience what it is like to be a member of the public- take the train + take the bus + walk. The same frustrations of the people then become yours and a part of your personal duty to solve. But, I guess the last three months have taught me this most important lesson: To ALWAYS ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT "Lord, what is Your mind on this matter? What do You want me to do?"
My answer from Him has been very quick and very constant- "Pray for this nation" and then He shows me the things that are happening in the spiritual realm and things that are to come. You can say that my shower experiences lately have been very... ELECTRIFYING. More often than not I leave the toilet with wet hair and wet eyes. He sure knows how to capture your attention.
Please pray with me for this nation this Christmas season. The things that you have been seeing and reading in the news are only the beginning of things to come. If You have no idea how to intercede, start by saying "Baruch haba B'shem Adonai- Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." and then ask for Wisdom for it is the principle thing. Every believer has an open channel with God- it only takes for you to exercise your muscle of faith in order for you to see/ hear/ feel/ dream of Him FOR YOURSELF; follow ONLY HIS DRUM BEAT no matter what man says. God is real and He will show you what His plans are (and here is the qualifier)-one step at a time. He does this so that we grow reliant only on Him as our source and we start exercising those creaky muscles of faith and we learn to take one day at a time with Him. It is truly a thrill once you discover His voice for yourself, His words in the book become ALIVE and His orders become the easiest thing to follow cause it is a matter of the heart now and not of the mind. ^_^
For more seasoned intercessors who understand the urgency of this situation, please feel free to email/ text message or call me for the details of the visions and instructions. PRAY! 1 Peter 4: 6-11" For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the Spirit. But the end of all things is at hand; be ye therefore sober and watch unto prayer. And above all things, have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen"
