hmm... the more I read the stories in the bible, the more I realise that compromise is never the answer to anything. Decisions made with compromise causes an impact to be felt many generations later. I guess when we are made to be who we are, we just have to follow the way we were made to be. engaging the marketplace... a call to destiny. all these thoughts have crossed my mind. deliberating, contemplating, evaluating... I wonder how God will do this one. Lifetimes have been spent on searching out the mysteries of the universe. Goodness. It's been a week to the day since I last blogged. A lot has happened since then-obviously. FINALLY met sarina on sunday at HAATO. ^^ (i owe her and rach lunch..lol) Started work, been busy with a lot of publicity things on monday and tuesday. Had a surprise thrown my way on tuesday afternoon which carried on til wednesday night. (penny knows! lol. call me for details... you won't believe it ^^) spent some time in JB on thursday with dad. And just came home from school after seeing Mrs Mac for apps to unis. [NOTE to year 6 2006: even if you are going to NS pls make an appointment with Mrs Macs to apply to your uni. You HAVE to do so. thnx]

You guys and gals HAVE TO WATCH the movie called "one night with the king". okay, I know it sounds promiscuous and all. But it's really the story of the woman whom I'm named after. It has romance, intrigue, horses, swordfights, a really pretty girl and a really captivating king. ^^ My gosh. I love it-these are the stuff of epics. (brothers and sisters, this will renew your passion and courage!) I mean there are a couple of adaptations of the story by Hannah-Barbara (I saw when I was young) and other live action ones... When I said I ALMOST cried last night I guess the tears delayed til today. Wait let me recap everything. Woke up early for chapel today. Fasted and prayed yesterday for the practice and chapel today. You could really feel God moving this morning. I felt it in our singing this morning too. I'm so proud of you, sean! ^^ yes, yes and evan :))))) and miles and alisa and brina and ria.. lol. look out for sindy!!! up and coming worship leader in training! hee.

so anyway, went for breakfast with daddy at the market and bought ice lollies and a fighting fish for penny. LOL. then came home to look up nella fantasia by il divo. ^^ this is another vid of them with celine dion. it's obviously titled. LOL.

hahaha. had just that enough time to do it and then went to school again for results. (and I know you think this is what made me cry, but no..) I got grades that were a bit disappointing to me, I guess, but not devasting enough to warrant an immediate breakdown. I got an unexpected B for my geog and that was the disappointing news, but other than that, I pulled up my lit and bio grades by a FULL GRADE! so that was cool! (notice how lit and geog swopped places) And all glory goes to Him. [people who are close to me know that I was going through major stuff during the lead up to As] so this is a miracle. not bad la. my thanks to all who've prayed with/ for me. I love you brothers and sisters! So anyway, let's get down to the part that made me cry. Went to billy bombers with the usual suspects...lol.. and had fun (and got reeaaaaalllllyyyyyy full) there. Then a certain "sweet" (quote and unquote mrs macs) someone gave out cards to all of us. Then I had to leave to meet my 'rents and took the chance of the isolated cab ride to read the card. I started tearing from the first line of words, crying by the middle and sobbing by the end. My cab driver probably wondered who died. LOL. I still can't look at the card properly-my vision fogs. haiz, why so emo esther? (and if I cry, doesn't that mean that I'm NOT HEARTLESS, SUGI? ^^) I'm going to type out the words here (not the private message-the PRINTED one on the card) dangit. the most unexpected... and I am NOT growing SOFT, just more empathetic. lol. [missions does things to you.]

back from penny's. had a good day today (yesterday). I still think the ultimate memory that stuck in my head for today was when miriam said goodbye to me from the opposite side of the platform as my train's doors were closing. It was both really funny and sad at the same time. And she shouted "see you again in 2 years!" from outside the doors. I felt like I lost another mei mei. that was sad. oh well, so we met and walked around talking and ate ayam panggang at the foodcourt. then we went shopping (again) I got a skirt for myself for $12 and miriam got herself a skirt too!! lol.

then made up and changed to go to penny's house. lol. took the bus and was early to help out in the kitchen. hahaha... "bubble bubble toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble." hahaha.. went to cook mussels... corn starch penny!!! anyway, almost everything was drenched in brandy. =_=" non alcoholic party for a reason...lol... (alex, daphne, hughlyn, iain, kai, lix, manav, mel, nat, sugi and wai leong were there) OMG. SO MUCH dessert. I feel so full now. haha.. erm, then daph and I splashed around in the jacuzzi while the others played FOOZ BALL and pool. haha.. spent time with hugh on the piano. was happy to see (majority) of my class tonight. penny, mel, manav and hugh left for MOS and lix for zouk. chatting with nat and GWL now. ^^ you guys make my night la. 2 years still have weight. LOL. NO I AM NOT CALLING YOU FAT NAT!

Ok...so spent my day with JC and miriam. LOL. I've had 2 days of one on one time with cafe fam members and this has made me realise why we're "family" and not just mere friends. you see, family sort out our differences and love each other no matter what. Family are absolutely crazily happy to see you whenever they do (and some try to feed you...this happens more often than not..btw, COUSINS I MISS YOU!) I remember how yessie and I hugged yesterday. LOL. *fly across the room and runs straight into esther where we jump for 2-5 seconds* hahaha.. miss you sista. JC and I started on the most random of things. we cooked noodles at his house. lol. and just talked. caught up with SP news and RP news and just stuff. I then walked home in the pouring rain. lol. not his fault, the sky opened itself up and dumped H2O on me. but I love rain. (not the singer, the liquid that falls out of the sky that is part of the gift of life)

hahaha... ok, but BEFORE that, we (meaning miriam, jon and I) met at gelare at holland V where we had ice cream and then went to the hawker centre (where we had food) LOL we're weird, we know. then sat and talked and laughed, walked around-miriam bought a skirt... then headed to jelita. lol. we went talking to mangoes and melons. *do NOT start* lol. she was meeting an old friend. we were waiting with her. *penny called then* yeah. tts about it.

things to do tomorrow:

1) meet miriam at 11am at PS [she's leaving tomorrow night while I have dinner]

2) go for dinner at penny's ^^ (oh, please contact penny to rsvp if you haven't thank you *btw, she said rsvp monday*)

went out with me gurls tadae. [LOL. was in the mood to try out a cockney accent.] made arrangements (very last minute and randomly) to meet daphne [the livesaver who saved me in december] to go to woodlands to see yessie dance. haha.. and GUESS who daphne bumped into at hv before meeting me? PENNY!!!! hahaha... and so they surprised me ^^ But this meant that penny tagged along with us to Republic Poly. (brilliant eh? darn last minute) missed yessie's dance by 2 minutes... arrrgggghhh bus... but managed to spend time talking and taking neos (she promises to send me once she's scanned them) YYAA showed us around her school and we had a fantastic time sitting around in one of the CAFEs.. lol.. just chilling, eating and talking. Met see song, wai fen, gabrielle and madelind at RP. lol. how cool was tt? RP's very pretty. ohhh and I can safely say I've been the to the NORTH (woodlands) SOUTH (sentosa/ vivocity) EAST (hughlyn's house/ changi airport/ east coast park) and WEST (boon lay/ jurong east) with my classmates in these 2 ++ years. lol. pretty cool. okok. promised "miriam" pics. so here they are. also look out for "mr blur" my sotong. wednesday (yesterday):

went to school to hug the world I love. was cool. I had fun and I saw mich, kathi, kristi, feline, jenn (who hit her head), sean, james, charins, ananya, annabelle, yanning, leona, sarah, priyanka, the triplets, ally, sulin, nicole, shienyin, joel chang and foo, bjorn, rach, oh and what's her name....LI-EN! lol..yeps. am happy. I got a lot of hugs. Angela wo ai ni, bu yao ku xiao nu hai... ^_^ had CF with daph and penny and then dinner with sugi, pen, lyds, steph (yes, kim's sister). Was sooo much fun. I miss these random crazy times. hee. missing sarina in my life HAATO SARINA!!! lol.

today:

woke up to wait for penny to get to my place. ended up going to bus terminal at ghim moh where we sat the bus and laughed a lot. Penny proceeded to point out to me the inaccuracies of the drama on brazil. and then we laughed at the gags. LOL.now we both want magnetic gifts... :D met kenneth and luigi at harbourfront MRT station control. It was hilarious we all reached within 2 minutes of each other. penny and I followed by lui then tcc. hee. GUESS WHERE PENNY BROUGHT ME AGAIN!?! 1 guess for the people who went out with me last night... SUSHI TEI. AHHHH... I'm gonna be sick of it man. okok... so then we sat down and proceeded to start talking for 15 minutes without ordering. LOL. I loooooveee it when that happens. It's like time stood still for the 3 of us (I mean penny was there but not THERE you know) and all these random things start coming out about barney boy and logistics tents. HAHAHAHA... OMG. and I quote luigi quoting an army book "your favourite colour will be GREEN!" hahaha... think of melting cars ok...sentry duty... *silence, not even a cricket and suddenly out of nowhere, luigi bursts into hysterical laughter* hahaha... I'll miss you boy.LOL.

I miss all these moments with you guys soooooo much. We must do this more often: aka if luigi survives and is set "free". hahaha... classic moments include... "hey auntie, chicken rice no chicken!" and "uncle, wanton mee no wanton, thanks ah?" LOL. GMSS forever! (listen to kenneth snigger) ultimate was when he told penny "yeah, you know when I slept with chua..." ^_^ hee hee. aww man. okok.. enough of that. so I left and met mum and dad in town for lunch.

I mean how cool is that? who can say (BESIDES SUGI) that I had lunch with my parents at Pepper Lunch in town? (yes li-en where you and joel ate) hee. today was mummy's birthday. daddy and I schemed to get mummy out of the house/ office and MAKE her go shopping for HER. hee. I naturally had to accompany her. quite happy. she got shoes, a bag and a work jacket (which I like..hee) and this a positive side effect was one of the BEST GIFTS GOD HAS GIVEN!!! you all know how difficult it is to find CHEAP shoes my size right? we've been through this... my feet's size are 8 double wide. (no kenneth not reflecting my size..tsk tsk) so it's DIFFICULT. But omg! omg! (and I thank You soooo much for this) I walked into charles and keith (albeit unwillingly) where I knewwww they didn't carry my size shoes (or issit?) cause in indo when I shopped there they said the largest size is size 40 WORLDWIDE and I can't fit a 40. so I was like ugh while mummy picked shoes. and my feet were killing me...blisters everywhere. then guess what!?! my mum picked up a pair of shoes and asked me to please wear them for the sake of my feet and THEY FIT. I flipped them over and they were a size 41!!!! FORTY ONE!!! like hello world!?! MY SIZE!!! ahhhhhhhh... and the lady said yea, this particular branch carries size FORTY ONE!!! I almost cried. It was so qiao. my goodness. if I had not gone with mum... yeah well. Cinderella found (dress) shoes (mind you) that fit. lol. yay!!! so another good thing happened to me today. ^_^ and penny and I are as telepathic as ever. we're creeping ppl out already. had a real good bible reading time just now. [yes, the reason why I go home everynight is for bible reading and prayers] and daddy was being telepathic. Basically I thought I'd take the MRT and then bus home, but when I sat my bum down at the bus stop, dad called and was like "hi, where are you exactly? cause I'm coming to get you from the station now." I was like.... huh? "okay!" so yeah... WOW. been happening a lot to me lately. penny, lydia, sugi and now daddy. hmmm... lol.. ok la, then I dun need to say anything-ppl can just go read my mind. hee hee.

dangit. chatting with miles now. we're discussing ACS INTERNATIONAL-itis. It's a phenomenon that has struck people like sarina (who has transferred out) and me (just graduated) and has been making us feel like a gaping hole exists in the universe we used to know. sigggghhhhssss. blog hopping, seems sugi feels the same. oh well. Back to the freedom days of rotting. hmm.. will start on my walks with cara again I guess. Meeting Luigi and TCC this thursday morning for breakfast at vivo city-lol....BREAKFAST!!! OMG. unbelievable eh? the last time I went for a breakfast breakfast with friends was the mr logadasan incident... okaaay.. which reminds me I gotta go visit his daughter. hey, it's been many exhausting days of camp. yeah, emotionally and physically. I know that there are many issues that have not been sorted out yet and so I'll hold my peace (let others who really stuck at it during the camp and who understand the inner workings of orientation camp 07 answer... I need not answer for myself) Besides, all I can say to those of you who accuse me of things-is to look at my life. If it's not right with God, you can go ahead and poke at it. But if it is, then well, examine yours. It's not as if I think myself high and mighty. I lugged fire wood, I did games simulations with them, I had the same sleepless nights as them, I went through the panic, the stress and all the happiness that they did. You can ask the leaders, I wasn't on discipline duty for 2 days, I was a camp counsellor, when we had problems, we sorted them out during meetings. You can ask the leaders again, we didn't RUN EVERYTHING, we let them sweat in pants when they didn't know anything and I kept saying I wasn't in charge. (you should've seen how stressed out the games comm was) If you only came in on the last day-then well, you wouldn't know a thing about what went on during the camp yes? Did you know that it was a prior arrangement that Leaders' questions was to be run by the seniors? And well, if it was boring, so be it... all the leaders knew it, did had a review of it directly after. And you also didn't know that I subjected myself to those rules too? I did pushups alongside the leaders for being late for meetings. After initial complaints, we sorted it out, everyone understood why and it was a great deterrent for being late cause meetings always started late. So, leaders if you're reading this (and all the other accusations hurled at us) you tell them the truth, you tell them our stories and you should tell them that orientation camp 07 was run by you guys...after all, we were just assists, always present to help.
