不想懂得

well, the one in the middle of the picture has just left for Canada to further his studies. It's sad really. Cause we all got really close only this year and then he flew off. I'm in a really weird mood right about now. Just read someone's Cyworld and had inspiration to blog. hahaha. =) well, I should count my blessings eh? everyone else is home. well, that is... EXCEPT NATKWEE AND PENNYLEEWENYI!!! ...

ohhh and Chloe Park In Young joined our family. =) pretty fun stuff. she came in ONE night before aaron flew off. hahaha. one down, one in.

had the chance to go catch I AM LEGEND with mel, iain and sugi yesterday. I didn't know it was a sci-fi thriller... and if you know Esther well... You'd know she practically shot right up out of her seat every single time a viral-infected human entered the frame. hahaha.. I used the popcorn a couple of time to BLOCK MY EYES. hee. then we had dinner at VILLAGE at heeren, I drank mushroom soup. =)

ohhhh... then we walked with sugi down to plaza singapura where we went shopping at Dorothy Perkins. =) I got a very pretty green open turtle-neck like top for $19!!!! *happy* Rachel dear, I always walk into bargains. =) hee. you owe me shopping trip.

I miss ely and shawn!! sighs... oh well. School's starting in a WEEK! we can "stress" with each other again. =) I love you peeps. haha.

I love my besties, it's as if time elapses but your friendships don't change.

reminder to self:
- worship tmr
- walk with cara sunday
- jon's house 3.30pm monday.
- CT party
- sugi leaves 3rd jan

2007 passes before my eyes...

there are many things to be thankful for this year. one of them being the restoration of family and friends.
so many exciting and new things await in 2008. but before the year passes, perhaps it is time to reflect a bit before moving on.

This year has been a year of tremendous miracles and breakthroughs. I have learnt many things from the Lord and many things from people. Some of which include the fact that people are not always trustworthy and that emotions sometimes can be deceiving. haha. I know this may sound bitter, but it's not. It is a lesson well learnt especially in the wee hours of boxing day.

LIGHT scatters darkness, but it has to be turned on first. TRUTH will set you free, but at first it will hurt. :) haha. I understand that now.

To be able to give without expecting back has always been something I have practiced. That's why I think I'm so easily satisfied. Some friends and family say too satisfied sometimes, I know. But, lately I think I HAD expected something back from people...emotionally that is. And perhaps it's time to apply this lesson to this area of emotions as well.

Anyway, BLESSED CHRISTMAS!!! natkwee's home!!! sugi's home! cara's home!! I've been crazy busy with parties... people have liked their gifts... I have liked mine. :) this year is a year not to forget! I hope the Lord surprises me again next year as much as He has surprised me this year. I am looking forward to it. Just that I have a to do list now.

- location (ahahah..stressing stanley and galvin out)
- goodbyes (aaron, natkwee, sugi)
- pick up last thing

- be happy :)
I think I can handle that!

* heart is a bit achy now due to all the emotional tension and drama... sighs. Lord I need your strength and Your joy. You have never failed me. Help my faith to rise even in my downs. I love You. May we never forget that You are the reason we live and that You are the best present of all.

Okay, I have to admit... I've not seen a report card quite like this. In fact, it's not much... well.. it's not even anything, technically... on the surface that is.

But let us just take a look back on this semester and you will soon see the hand of God on this person's life.

September, Friday morning at Chapel service- collapse and vomiting. Trip to the doctor's was to take a jab for the pain. Can't sit, sleep or stand.

Monday morning-excrutiating pain in school during lesson. Return home during break. Monday midnight: check into hospital.

Over the next six weeks, I would have needles stuck into me, all sorts of tests taken and a FULL 3 weeks of lessons missed. Not counting the days I had to return for tests in hospital. Projects, homework and exams assaulted me as soon as I returned to the classrooms.

If you study in SMU you'd know how important class participation is and how much you'd have to do if you missed even ONE lecture in a week. I missed 3 weeks- that's six modules times 3- which gives you 18 lessons to catch up on.

Miraculously, I became better instantly one Friday. It went away. I studied like mad after that... writing notes, reading textbooks and being as loud as possible in every class in order to try and make up for the grades.

2 weeks ago I ended my exams and grades started flooding in the monday directly after. Not that good, but miraculous considering the circumstance. And then a bombshell- an F.

I knew things were bad, but not THAT bad. I've never been able to come to terms with an F. I remember depression while everyone else rejoiced over the fact that they would never have to see their text again. I was dreading summer school retakes and the fact that I might not be able to go for the 1st transformation camp in the USA.

I stared hard at this mountain written on a piece of paper a few saturdays back. I stared at it and remembered what Evan West said about faith.

It moved.

My F turned into a C- today because of a technical glitch in the system! The Lord answered my prayers and preserved me in my first year at SMU. "Tell me what is impossible with God"

Nothing will stand in my way now.
