Lessons learned- Carrie Underwood

I just woke up. Think I slept from about 4 til now. Morning alarm woke me up. What was it doing switched on I wonder. Well, Oldham won...LOL. Congratulations iain and kong lam (lover) it was really entertaining (GREASE is the word) ! ^_^ Pen, your words made me think hard. "Are you really disappointed?" Answer is no. We did our very best. I'm soooo proud of you people. Gavin-you're the best, thanks for everything. Bryan Lian-cow bells. haha. Jia Yi- you rock. The sports part turned out good, but no sound la. lol.. Ananya and Bea-we tried. Lol.. not bad for a last minute dance. Kamani-not bad for a last minute dancer. lol. Lyd- sister you deserve commendation for everything you did. *muack* Chris-never met you til now, am glad I did. You're an awesome guy. Charins-I'm still so wowed by you girl. Winnie- last minute violinist! I'm so honoured to have performed by your side. Raphael-you rock, you got the heat man. Bryan Y-thank you for offering your help, you're very sweet. Tabi- you know la huh? you know. Thank You for the rocking sound. Evan- You were the guy who came up with the song..lol.. "will look good in any colour irregardless" I enjoyed working with you. Thanks a lot. To the rest of my GHK-ians, I thank you for everything and for all that you've done-putting in your heart and soul into this performance. In my eyes, we did good. Thank you guys and girls so much.
Now here's where I need to tell you something about this experience. I looked back on these precious moments of practice and I realised something about myself. I've pushed people away. This is a mistake that I've repeated time and time again. I was so busy that I pushed important people away from my life. Firstly, I'm sorry Holy Spirit-I know I've wronged you-been too tired to talk with you. Secondly, my family, been exceedingly snappy to you..I know that now and I'm sorry. And thirdly-my friends. I think out of the three, you guys seem to suffer the most and not able to comprehend why I'm being the way I am. I'm genuinely sorry for not having the time to spend with you. And being temperamental and upset and generally not a nice person to be around. I think I'm a workaholic. I remember telling someone that "sometimes, placing work above God is idolatry" well, guilty of that crime. I'm sorry Lord. I ended up being the nastiest person alive during this period of time (I think...) for that, I'm really really sorry. Hey, if I ever forget-please remind me. Especially my closest friends and family-because you mean a lot to me. I can say this was once again a lesson learned. HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY to all my teachers btw. ACS INTL teachers rock! GMSS Teachers, I miss you everytime we meet up. Thank you for everything. I'm going for dinner now. ttyl. God Bless.
p.s: spoke to hugh! spoke to hugh! on the phone!! yaye twinny!

Planetshakers
There's nothing better
Than living for You
Than saving my world with You
There's nothing better
Than praising Your name
And lifting my praise
I wanna spend forever
Standing in Your presence
I wanna show You
What You mean to me God
I give You my whole life
I wanna tell You
I am Yours forever
Lord I give you my whole life
Jesus I will live for You
In everything I do
I'm holding on to You
ALWAYS! always and forever!
And when my world is falling down
In You I will be found
I'm staying in Your arms today

Summer Nights

Thank God Bio prac went well, was semi-panicking due to last class practical on DCPIP dye and the light dependent reactions in photosynthesis. [LIKE WHAT!?!] whew. It didn't come out for prelims. And...we were allowed out of school! To buy breakfast. (for miss loh and auntie ivy) lol. I had soooo much fun running around and getting crystal jade food. When I came back, I had such a fun time in Geog class FILING with the marplat and other munjen. LOL. I enjoy their company a lot now. It's interesting how God brings us all closer together. (woke up to drish's : gd luck for bio prac genius!) haha...
Then I had a nice, relaxing afternoon doing what I do best: DISTURBING SUGI and playing guitar with rachel. Oh, Joel and Sugi... I DON'T CARE! ROFL. I'll roll all I want. HAHAHA. Don't forget I know about boats and splits ok? I'll readily expose you ppl on my high traffic blog. LOL.
Then I had GHK meeting with all the nice people. ^_^ I feel so happy that they're so organised and willing. Thanks people. hee.
Daddy sent me home and I watched justice league unlimted on tv! :D ohohoh... had dinner, typed out the minutes for GHK and now I'm on my way to family prayer! That's it from me for my blog-see you guys soon! *mwah* goodnite. ^_^

There's only One (Holy One)

AHHHH...BIO PRELIM PRAC TML! AHHHH... sighs...going off to study now. Did a test thing the other "sonnet" sent me. (read below) Enjoy while I study. cya all. Love the people I do...hugs from me! ^_^ gdnite.
The Sonnet
Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed? Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.
Your exact opposite:Genghis Khan
Random Brutal Sex Master
Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so. You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.
ALWAYS AVOID: The 5-Night Stand, The False Messiah, The Hornivore, The Last Man on Earth
CONSIDER: The Loverboy
ROFL.

Looking through your eyes

Hi, I'm blogging on this here quiet and semi-lonely evening. I only have the genius (drishti) to entertain me as I discuss important GHK plans with evan. LOL. Had a pretty uneventful day. Bio...PHOTOTAKING, Geog... oh and drama in between. Not my story to tell, maybe my bestie might hint it on his blog. lol. I'm really really tired.
LOL...AND GUESS WHAT? VIC IS OVER AT MY PLACE!!! Playin on my guitar. I love her. We're trading stories. Vic is singing about sugi and his soccer. *diao* or whatever issues she has.(exchange between us- Esther: You have issues. Vic: "ohhh thanks, how SWEEEEET!")...
now more people have come online...jen, natalie... NAT: SCALE OF 1-10, 9 ok? talking to sugi via sms. I just wrote a poem about an hour ago. [It affected me too-not just you] I will post it now.
Tears- 23rd August 2006
Tears.
The little
spots of wet
on your cheeks.
Salty drops that don't
reek. Each shaped
perfectly like
a translucent
pearl. Precious
in God's
eyes.
Tears.
They cleanse,
they clear. They
are sweet, they are
dear. Pent up emotion
released in gems, only
as big as your eyes can
manage. Precious in
God's eyes.
Tears.
Their cause
varied. But you
know, they make
vision blearied. Movies,
sad songs, an argument,
anger, death, family,
friends, a broken
heart... Precious
in God's
eyes.
Tears.
God's only
Son cried them.
As he waited, by
men condemned- to
die on a cross for all
the world to see.
Tears. Precious in
God's eyes.
Tears for you and me.
Good night dearies. God Bless, love, hugs, kisses and whatever I usually give. lol. ^_^ cheers.

Drop (featuring Erik-Michael Estrada)

OMG. Lol.. I just walked out of the toilet with my wet hair going a thousand different places, right into Danette. ROFL. Oh well. UPDATE! Haven't done so since friday.. yeah.
Well, saturday:
I woke up like at lunch time...cause my bro jumped on my bed and wun let me sleep.. lol.. enjoyed yong tau foo with my family, came online to start geog research and ended up listening to natkwee and kong lam talk about my cousin's antics at Happy. lol. well, at least my friends and family mix well. HAHA. Then prepared for church. The dude preached a pretty good sermon but I think worship sucked (cause I messed it up a lot) haha. anyway, came home to watch a bit of tv! NUMBERS! lol...I like.. and then had a bit of a chat with nat before turning in for the night.
Sunday:
hahaha...omg...geog, bio.... and I got really stressed out by them. UGH. A levels are a killer... but then again, and I quote a wise person who in getting his teeth had his ulcers pressed, said.."what doesn't kill me makes me stronger"
LOL. yeah. I took a break when sugi messaged me about the prom dress and stuff. and well, it triggered something off in me. Like all the stress, all the sacrifice..and I realised that one thing I want A LOT right now is actually the dress... (therefore the diet, exercise, etc) I mean, ok..I SOUND materialistic, but I haven't gone for a prom, I don't go out..etc. My close friends know and understand and well...I CHOOSE my paths too so I'm not complaining about them. hmm.. and anyway, I cried. yes. I cried to my mum talking about identity issues and that STUPID doctor..and cried. Then she prayed with me and told me: "what makes you think that if God has brought you this far with miracle after miracle that he won't provide for something as small as your prom and even for your bigger dreams?" er...duh...I think that's why parents are parents and not us...YET. LOL. so anyway, she told me to take a break and brought me out to town just for fun... to KINO! (books, books, books!) Didn't buy any books though, a couple of magazines.. and then we went walking to talk at paragon..I know right...expensive..lol.. so we window shopped and talked for a long time and then went to see some stuff at dorothy perkins in metro itself. Lol..I tried on some stuff and found out...I DROPPED A DRESS SIZE! *woot* lol. haha..and then the ONE thing that made me happy... I went rummaging through a gown section just for fun..and found this really really pretty white gown in my sister's size...and I was like...omg, it's gonna be at least $50. Then I looked and it was on clearance for a ridiculously LOW PRICE. 13 DOLLARS! 13! can you believe it? I bought it for her. hahah.. I feel sooo happy... tt was my high point. hee... so then, mum and I sat the bus back to Ghim Moh and then got home for dinner.
TODAY:
lol... woke up feeling like I had a major hangover..lol...from BIO ok? Not alcohol. can't touch that stuff. and well... was daaarn tired and slept during first two free. A mini-drama unfolded that had mr chew involved..nvm about tt. then had BIO. I'm really enjoying bio nowadays. It's interesting and funny. And I found Iain's extended family.. the water snails living in the bio lab! THEY EAT EVERYTHING! Bio today was about DNA fingerprinting..so fun! CSI...is fake.. they DO NOT use a solution to test for DNA. it's a phenyl-chlorofoam-water mixture that is used to segregate the DNA from the other stuff in the cells. I find that darrn cool. ^_^
and then I spent lunch talking to jen about geog, laughing at feline (you know I love you) and well, chilling. :D
Lit was so...deep. Like I feel like I'm getting it.. It was a good day. haha. I GOT an A! My first A grade lit essay this year! lol...extracted from my script on a poem by robert frost entitled "mending wall" -done under test conditions:
The persona is not the only one protesting the presence of the wall. Nature also appears to detest its intrusion with it constantly tearing down sections of the wall via erosion as well as weathering. The "something there" the reader first encounters at the start of the poem is indeed nature herself and she "doesn't love a wall". Nature has used the processes of erosion to send "the frozen-ground swell" and weathering which spilled "the upper boulders in the sun" to make "gaps even two can pass abreast". This shows nature's willingness to destroy the physical wall. This tearing down of the wall and making "mending wall" compulsory every spring places emphasis on this important point the author is highlighting. There should be no walls "between us", between two individuals or even between families. The mysterious gaps that "no one has seen" or "heard" made, are testimony to the fact that nature abhors the useless creation of man and seeks to eradicate its existence. Walls in themselves are unnatural and nature is resisting being imprisoned.
LOL. I'm so glad I finally got an A. wonder if the brilliance drishti stole is back.. lol. subtropical!
hahaha. well. then I left school and walked to ghim moh sec. I miss it sooo much. It gave me some days of horrible hell but it also gave me my "family" of friends and leaders. I love you guys. And then spent time talking to my teachers [Miss chin and Miss Ting] before heading home. :( choir wasn't there. And now here I am, blogging and feeling a bit tired but happy. I WANNA WATCH CLICK! lol..
Homework list:
GEOG CASE STUDIES (KILLER LOAD MAN)
soon-to-be-given-out BIO TUTORIALS
bring lit texts next week
bring bio prac notes tml
BIO PRAC THIS FRIDAY!!! AHHHH...
okok.. will update you all soon-gotta study for my As. (haha...both sense of the alphabet) God Bless, hugs, kisses and love from me. ^_^

Trust In The Lord

sugi is so ma fan. lol... nah...just kidding. He is trying to set up a blog. It's giving me laughs. ^_^ and potential headaches. BIG ORANGE WORDS that say "Publish Post" hahaha... I've linked you to my blog.
Well, today was fun. One of the hamsters (the male one-typical) escaped and hid in my organ. Lol..we didn't know that and also didn't know where he was, so we set the dog on him. Joy was so clever! She found him in seconds! And was trying her best to scare him out. So clever! My maid eventually got him. lol. Enjoyed writing essays and taking portrait photos of ourselves. Sort of a short day. Leading worship in church tomorrow. May need sleep now. Lol. Post again soon! God Bless!

Man of His word

Hi! I'm posting cause I like this song and lyrics a lot. I was touched and hope you want your life to turn out this way too. (I mean, even with its ups and downs) It's a relatively old song (1997) and I heard it when I was about to go through certain things in my life. I thank God each day that I made it and made changes to myself. Everything works out "for the good of those who love Him" and I saw Chariots of Fire today. "I will honour those who honour me". So thank You Jesus for everything in my life. Anyway, go read these lyrics and download the song.
Artist/Band: Bob Carlisle
Lyrics for Song: Man of His Word
Lyrics for Album: Butterfly Kisses
In the final days of summer, 1944,
with just a preacher and a witness and a humble band of gold,
They set out to find the future,
not a penny to their name.
Still with all the unknown danger,
she knew her heart was safe,
cause..
he was a rock
he was the one that she ran to
And when he said the word "Forever"
She knew that it was true
he wasn't a saint
But he was saint enough for her
he was a man,
A man of his word.
In the final days of summer, 1964,
found a family undivided,
divided on the war.
Turning son against his elder,
debating wrong and right,
he was the image of his father,
though they would not see eye to eye,
still...
he was a rock
he was the one the boy ran to
Cause' when he said the words "I Love You"
he knew that it was true
And even in the worst of storms
There was an anchor in his world
he was a man,
A man of his word.
Clutching a strong belief in the bible,
through all the sweetness in his life,
and the bitterness of war,
he knew what God had made him for...
In the final days of summer, 1994,
surrounded by his family and the presence of the Lord.
he set out to find his future,
the one he'd always known,
he didn't want to leave his family,
but he knew deep in his soul,
The lord had called him home...
cause...
He was the rock
He was the one the man ran to
And when He said the word "forever"
he knew that it was true
He wasn't a saint
He is the one the saints bow to
Receiving a man,
A man of his word...
He is the one that I run to
Cause when He says the word "forever"
I know His word is true
He isn't a saint
He is the one the saints bow to
Come to the man
The man of His word.

Protecting Me

I promised an update of pics and etc of events, so let me do this first. ^_^

Cafe- national day (esther was at cousin's house) so guess what? They drew in my "face" ROFL. I love you people a lot, you've always been there for me. ^_^ Love you.
HAHAHAHA... can you see Viet? and sean next to him.. National Day dance... year 3s...
Iain, Mel and Faheem- Year 6 models. lol.. the future!?!
Iain and Ivan..lovers for life? errrr... lol...
OMG! I loooooove this pic... really do. Mel, Cara, Drish and I with Nat taking the picture. ^_^ absolutely cool. [Before lit.]
Hey, ok..so an update. I have lost 3 kgs in 2 weeks so far...so if people want to know-DON'T TEMPT ME WITH FOOD! Yes, I am trying to lose weight...health as well as aesthetically. lol..uncle steven dissuaded me from losing weight saying that I wun look "cute" anymore. Lol..errr.. kane is my official dietician and we now have a geographers' gym-subtropical high, equatorial low and polar high. ROFL. okok.
And grades are back-officially that would place me below chris and above kai.. 3As and 1 C. GP, Geog, Lit were As and Bio was a C. Not bad, if you read the previous entries, I pushed the bio grade up from a D. ^_^ I need to score As for ALL my subjects in A2. (aiming for 3As and 1 B..so yeah) Not as brilliant as some cousins and friends... hah.
Daddy came out of hospital on saturday. Thanks for all your prayers. He got hit on last thurs, was in the hospital, got operated on friday and got discharged on saturday. Was UP AND WALKING on sunday. LOL. It was miraculous. Come up to me to ask for details. ^_^ Thank you for all your support- you have no idea what it did for us.
Been spending time talking with a few people I din expect to. Faheem and Cara last monday at cara's house was hilarious-you people are so much fun. Hi Mari! :D Jennifer and Li-en...lol.. STOP WHACKING ME! hee hee. And Dolly, hey girl if you read this, it really is enjoyable talking to you. Don't worry about it-you'll get to do medicine. ^_^
I have learnt a few things-in reference to a certain issue, that it IS indeed wise to "say the truth in love" and to wait for the right time and season to release things. Hope I've done the right thing concerning this. Will update again soon. ^_^ lol... going for prayer. TAG PLEASE! Love you all and God Bless.

My Island Home

HIT THE PAUSE BUTTON ON "JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL" IN THIS BLOG BEFORE WATCHING THIS VIDEO. ^_^
Hi, hahaha.. love this video. Anyway... just to update you guys...dun laugh at me. I was at my "mummy" and ham jing bang's birthday party at east coast park...and I was taught by a group of very loving, patient people such as Iain, Benedict, Hebe, Rafael " If you want the heat - you gotta have the meat"..(yes they're all guys) hahaha...and well..I eventually learnt to lift 2 feet off the ground! well, it's a start. So, I'm quite tired and laughed out. Anyway, the best part of the party was actually the beach. I had the chance to sit quietly on the beach and think about things and to sing to God..lol.. I had such a good time. The last time I was on a beach, was in Tauranga in 11 degrees celsius temperature wearing 4 layers of clothes. ^_^
hmmm...then also thanks to my 4-lyfers.. mel [who can blade backwards and over humps now!] and iain..(AND FELINE!) for getting me out of my silent, reflective mood. And to sugi, for listening...hello...I DO think such things [like promises made at campfires] can last... otherwise how the heck would friendships work out... like what? I forget you after 2 months ah? lol. (and tears help to cleanse the soul ^_^)
Took the MRT home.
So this morning when I went to school, I realised that mel, iain, cara and heem were supposed to be in by like 8.30am to do up the costume. haha..couz came for a bit and watched the fashion parade. which was quite cool and 5X won naturally... we just did ours for fun. Then we got our results back. Proud of our 4-lyfer-Iain has straight As, mel got an A for econs and I pulled my bio grade up from a D to a C, not bad. [Lit grades aren't out yet] hmm... then we had cake, left school and went to Hogsbreath for lunch. Then we had a good time rifling through stuff at Party City where I met gowri and lyd and we cabbed home. Fell asleep almost immediately.
*Yawns* I will pic post of today and the other events soon. I promise. Love you all. ^_^ thanks dears for everything! *mwah*
