Stars are blind (and deaf too)

Hi! ^_^ I'm home from school. hee. Studied in school today with nat. At 3 plus. Lol. INITIAL target time was 10am. Whoo boy. Lol. so anyway was up at 9am, took my morning shower, etc... had breakfast, watched a bit of tv with younger bro. Started on bio and geog. Called sugi for a bit of entertainment- hah. And then waited for pickup. LOL. had lunch at CJ.(thanks alex!!) darnit. Holland V is not good news for my tummy (which resurrected during this exam period...ahhhh) so anyway, wandered back to school to study. Ended at 5.50pm? Yeah and then we backtracked to KATONG LAKSA (mai hum...heehee) to get 2 packets back for family. So I feel accomplished. I did GT today. I laughed, I did geog, bio and lit. ^_^ OHOHOH! today's episode of Justice League was so cool. Bruce Wayne and Terry McGinnis. WOOT. (father-son links-TIED INTO GENETICS!) And I looove chatting to joel and sean. (oh and I saw rafael today! emo guitar dude) They make my day! LOL. Oh, not so high point-tennis coach called me fat (under his breath, I heard) LOL. Dear daphne's reaction "if i had absolute no restraints and there was no law, i might just attack him.. from afar.. to ensure his death or something similar, but since i'm like.. puny sized and not that strong.." ROFL. dun worry, I'm ok. It's my size (and shape) that's allowing me to ROLL on the floor with laughter in the first place, right sugi and joel? hahaha...
But on a serious note: to all the girls who keep cross examining themselves to see if they fit society's version of beautiful, this is for you. PSALM 139: 13-14
"For You have created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
This is the only person's approval you will ever need. [I am telling myself this too- CONSTANTLY.] It's just that encouraging friends (like mine) who tell you you're beautiful no matter what some other people think or that you're made for a purpose, or that you are loved just the way you are... are major pluses. They have made me rethink the way other people think about me...and what I (most important) think about me. This is always an ongoing issue with girls, so guys-please don't tell your girl she's fat or whatever things in your vocab you use. (unmentionables) They are created in the image of God-for God's purposes and timings. Who knows? The unpolished gem you have next to you will one day be a beautiful diamond- don't let it slip away.
I leave you with a beautiful story about the love of God. It explains why we feel "scarred" after going through a trial.
THE SCARS OF LIFE
Some years ago, on a hot summer day in south Florida, a little boy decided to go for a swim in the old swimming hole behind his house. In a hurry to dive into the cool water, he ran out the back door, leaving behind shoes, socks, and shirt as he went. He flew into the water, not realizing that as he swam toward the middle of the lake, an alligator was swimming toward the shore.
His father working in the yard saw the two as they got closer and closer together. In utter fear, he ran toward the water, yelling to his son as loudly as he could. Hearing his voice, the little boy became alarmed and made a U-turn to swim to his father. It was too late. Just as he reached his father, the alligator reached him.
From the dock, the father grabbed his little boy by the arms just as the alligator snatched his legs. That began an incredible tug-of-war between the two. The alligator was much stronger than the father, but the father was much too passionate to let go.
A farmer who happened to drive by, heard his screams, raced from his truck, took aim and shot the alligator. Remarkably, after weeks and weeks in the hospital, the little boy survived. His legs were extremely scarred by the vicious attack of the animal. And, on his arms, were deep scratches where his father's fingernails dug into his flesh in his effort to hang on to the son he loved.
The newspaper reporter who interviewed the boy after the trauma, asked if he would show her his scars. The boy lifted his pant legs. And then, with obvious pride, he said to the reporter, "But look at my arms. I have great scars on my arms, too. I have them because! my Dad wouldn't let go."
You and I can identify with that little boy. We have scars, too. No, not from an alligator, but the scars of a painful past. Some of those scars are unsightly and have caused us deep regret. But, some wounds, my friend, are because God has refused to let go. In the midst of your struggle, He's been there holding on to you.
God loves you. You are a child of God. He wants to protect you and provide for you in every way But sometimes we foolishly wade into dangerous situations, not knowing what lies ahead. The swimming hole of life is filled with peril and we forget that the enemy is waiting to attack. That's when the tug-of-war begins - and if you have the scars of His love on your arms, be very, very grateful. He did not and will not ever let you go.
Love you all much. God Bless!
