IT'S THE WEEKEND!!! HALLELUJAH! It means two things:

1) I get to see my "weekend buddies" because OCS has taken them and spoilt them with 24 hour internet, beautiful campus and nice bunks... ^^

AND

2) I get to go on my LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGGG relaxing evening walks. ^^

had a pretty good friday. met with mr douglas foo the owner of SAKAE SUSHI. He opened up a new upmarket restaurant. wow. I really really enjoyed the food and the company-his core team is inspiring... (PENNY!!! my date with you!) then met with another one of Honolulu University's conferees at THE PINES club. then had dinner with the president at sheraton. hee. good food today. ^^ miss cafe fam a lot. conferenced with jon and yessie last night. :D miss the 4-lyfers too. but hey. ball's in your court! lol. (SUGI ESPECIALLY FOR YOU! lol)

met my dear "family" at tiong bahru plaza today. miss you guys so much! yen hao (4 years!) yessie (4 years!) shwee (5 years!) and Jon (6 years!) woot! we're going strong. AH PA will now distribute hong baos to all of us. hahaha. had a wonderful (short) time with ya'll! hahaha! shwee is a k-drama fan! ^^ yes-ant!!! wahaha! T-squared for life!

rushed back to church for prayer meeting. very good time of thanksgiving and prayers. Am waking up early to pray (checks time) today. haha. hmm... this cny has been such a tremendous blessing. TAN SHI HAN! how in the world did you manage to get internet connection in camp? cause chatterbox put your tag in at 8.33am TODAY... and you're supposed to be all busy in camp. goodness. lol. hee. You know I submitted Aaron's apps to NUS with mine yea? Told him that I was sending 'em to sarah lawrence. (liberal arts college in the USA) haha. ^_^ my weekend cousins. ALL THREE OF YOU. NS takes my family members away. sigh. oh well. weekends then!

So like I said, went to Changi to visit 3rd grand aunt, came home for lunch with uncle Guan Soon and Rachel (tim was out with friends) and then he (very kindly) picked cara up and sent us to town. Where we met penny in Borders' Bistro. Sugi came and joined us then we went to eat (AGAIN at the jap place at far east's basement) Ivan then joined us!!! ^^ hahaha... NEOPRINT PHOBIA eh? so we took PICTURES ON MY CAMERA with him instead. (refer to below)

left for dinner at aunty chin looi's and visited KATHI across the street first!!! hee. :))))) love kathi! saw their (aunty chin looi's) china project. whoa. then came home and did NUS apps (again...) they finally got through at 2.15am. lol.

went to school this morn to get some stuff from mrs mac and then headed off to the office to do work for a bit before heading to NUS to send the apps in. OCT Tan Shi Yi, Aaron. hahahaha.. omg. I had to write that out so many times. ^^ yes, just cause you're blood and a Tan k?

loved this CNY. I got to spend loads of time with cousins (teasing, insulting, prata, nuts, bak kut teh, pics, etc etc) made a new friend, Ruzaini! Saw my dearest cara and penny. Celebrated Sugi's bday, wore THAT red dress (FINALLY!), met ALL my grand aunts! Meeting my beloved cafe fam tonight, and spent time with daph before she left for china. mission accomplished. thank you lord! (can't wait for chap gor meh!) GOD BLESS EVERYONE!!! hee.

saturday: church and then reunion dinner. ivan was busy with OCS stuff. left early after taking pics of the portraits we did last time. refer to below. haha. wen, ivan, aaron, pris, me, lyd. (front row) bo mu, bo fu, grand ma, dad, mum (second row) kuku, ku ma, ku chang,wei, mei (back row) weren't we cute? hee.

sunday: graveyard to "visit" grand dad. lol. I tell you ah that cousin of mine... we all confirmed that 0830 hours will be at the graveyard and 1900 hours (7pm) to be at my aunt's place. the first thing he asked me when he woke up was whether we're eating at my aunt's place. =_=" yes dear cousin, in the morning at 7am. brilliant. haha. ^^ swopped cars and then we went to get Ruzaini from SAFTI before heading to clementi to eat prata. hahaha.. that was fun! headed back to couz' place and had fun chatting and "bonding". heehee. then we went to wesley (Kathi and Kristi!!!) then back to cousin's for lunch. lol. then visiting... and dinner at my other cousin's place. so I basically saw my cousins a heck of a lot on sunday.

monday: 4th grand aunt's place. met cousins AGAIN. lol. grand dad's place. ^^ everyone's getting married on mum's side. hee. erm. 5th grand aunt at ghim moh. yoko came home and disturbed the peace. LOL. then 2nd grand uncle's place with grand aunty lilian and great grand aunt. hahaha. inside cousin joke, but the nuts there were the best la. :) oh yarh! then dropped by cara's to see her. hee hee. she's all sniffly. then home.

I thought this would be the perfect way to start the post on Valentine's Day- with my favourite definition of love. To all the lovers, husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends- this is YOUR day. (when PDA is encouraged... lol) I think it's so wonderful to be serving a God whose name is LOVE. I love how valentine's day is celebrated at ACS INTERNATIONAL. It is THE biggest event of the year you know? It's like a christmas celebration, except with chocolates, flowers, cookies and song dedications. And who better to spend the day than with the people you love? [I remember last year's-it was awesome!] I also noticed a heck of a lot of couples in town with bouquets of roses (my fave flowers!) holding hands and looking all happy. It's a wonder how God made women to be happy and contented with flowers. lol.

Spent my valentine's with Penny and the OLs today. (thanks so much for the cookies, brownies, cupcakes, flowers, song dedications, hugs, kisses, etc) you guys and gals rock! *love my ac intl hugs* Gave nat a tomato plant! haha. Dispensed roses to Jobelle and Cara (At her last day in ZARA) before taking the MRT to office. I am recovering from a cold I caught and so it's made me mood swingy and tired I guess. LOVE to those who put up with me!

A really close friend of mine (shan't name who, but I love her lots) has made me MORE reflective due to her sms about nostalgia and the way things were. She's right yarh. Things change, but in time, we'll see it's for the better. She's mood swingy too! LOL. Another friend of mine was saying that it is sad how she goes all out to DO stuff for her friends, but never gets anything back in return from them. And so she feels depressed on v-day. hmm... but their words and thoughts have brought me to another definition of love- Mother Theresa's. "LOVE IS: giving till it hurts and then giving somemore."

I guess it's interesting to note how the rose easily sums it up. ( a poem I wrote today- 14/2/2007)

Roses

A rose is not a rose by any other name,

but it symbolises a yearly lover's game.

To each who loves, the heart defined

In petals pink and red refined.

A person a rose doth often reflect

When sad, the petals close, refusing to act

I bought black pumps, love the new hairdo (want it permanent now) neoprints! (and we finally took them after 2 years of "errrr.. next time.." and just had fun talking. ^^

then I went for dinner at iain's house. ( with mel's fam) hee. how cool is that la? so nice to see MORE of the people I love in ONE DAY!! hee. had dinner and a good time discussing KOREAN dramas! haha. loved the food and company. whee. came home and am now watching my hairdo deflate and return to normal. awww. lol. but oh wells.

Listening to the fullhouse and my girl soundtracks now. hehe. just to tell you year sixes 06 reading this: I really do love and miss every single one of you. irregardless of whatever nonsense that happened between us. I really treasure last year's valentine's day with you guys and gals. Naturally I miss my besties more la, but you all hold special places in my heart.

kk. this is a special post for my dearest mei mei. (the real one) cause I think she needs to hear this now. You are my one and only sister. my roomie, the one who knows all my habits, likes and dislikes. you are the only one who is able to see through what I say ( eg. "no... I don't like him! really!" P4 ah P4...LOL) I love you oh so very much. you know that God put us only sixteen months apart for a reason. you also know that our combined prayers shake and move mountains! You are the one I share my heartaches, my loves, my likes, my clothes, jewelry, my hates, my fears, my upsets, my joys, etc with. You are the one I truly feel carefree with. Swings and cakes are a comforting thing. You know almost the EXACT same song vocab as me. lol. except you are more "black" and I am more "korean". You genuinely care and that's why it hurts. Just to let you know-I genuinely care about you. *even though you are sleeping now, I care so much to write this to you ok?* I will never forget you ok? nor leave you behind. even though I have my own friends, you know you were and are my best friend from the moment you were born on the 24th November 1989, I always come back to you. love you lots and lots.

sister (no more "auntie" I'm becoming older too. haha) sophia [above left with hubby derek] called me yesterday and I had another bout of tears. but it was necessary and much needed. I am thankful to God. finished my girl a second time some days back. I finally cried. lol. not when the girl cried though-but when the dude cried. cause it was terribly heart-wrenching. Went to the swings again today. Had time just to sit and think, be emo and cry... sighs. now I have puffy eyes. and I have work tomorrow. you know how sometimes when you have issues that you just can't tell people about? like holding secrets for others is not a worry, but there is not one who is really able to hold yours? (lyd and I were talking yesterday about friendships. lol.) and the ones who know are occupied so you don't want to tell them "please come here. I need you beside me to just sit and swing and let me cry my heart out." but I appreciate the fact that one of you tried to make me laugh even though I was going through the pain. I know some "sistas" are thinking why I did't call 'em. thank you dear ones-but you know me. Darn difficult to share problems. ^^

had a pretty decent time watching singapore win the ASEAN cup with my bro. lol. read joel's blog. agreed that watching arsenal is better, but singapore won! lol. yea. tts it from me. finished watching my girl. but must be that my heart was occupied elsewhere so the tears din fall so readily... lol. lee dong wook is good looking! AHAHAHA!!! this is for all you GOONG FANS!!! (mich! mich! mich! li-en!!! ahhhh) omgomg. I just read online that they're getting the original cast back for a sequel of goong... lol. this current one with se7en in it is just the spinoff!!! LOL! yay! yoon eun hae (chaegyung) and kim jeong hoon (yul goon) are confirmed. so now it's just JOO JI HOON!!! aahhhh.. I want him back in! lol. as does everyone else....

oh.. have started watching my girl. (pssh) lol. goong and my girl are different- so they can't be compared, but I believe yoon eun hae's acting was better than lee da hae's. ^^ (sorry sugi... hee hee) I still like the storyline in my girl though. haha. and eps 8-9 lol. and lee dong wook ( is that how you write it? seol gong chan) is soooo good looking. hehe. ok enough of this... :D

had fun at the park near my house today. just sat on the swings and felt like it was the most carefree thing in the world to do. man. it felt good. ^^ okie dokie peeps. gonna watch episode 13 of my girl now..haha... to kill time till goong 2 is released! YAY!!! God Bless peeps!!! *mwah*

so I just came home. ^^ all the disappointments about cancelling the trip sorta flew out the window with a productive day at work and the fellowship of good friends. (namely penny, mel and iain) also, I found out the areas we were heading to are flooded. like sudirman in jakarta (MILES I KNOW WHAT GBI SUDIRMAN IS NOW!!! lol. sudirman is the district the church is in la.. lol) GUESS WHERE PENNY MADE ME EAT AT AGAIN TODAY? =_=" sushi teh.. which I ate last night. lol. well, at least we had variety tonight.

met penny's mum, dad, cousin, cousin-in-law and CUTE BABY MATTHEW!!!! lol. he was soooo cute... (like me when I was much younger. hee. any ego is not my fault. haha) then we went walking around looking at stuff and just talking/ laughing. headed to wisma starbucks to have a drink and catch up. :)

hahaha... wait this brings me to esther's definition of current terms:

1. drinks: to have starbucks/ coffee bean/ coffee club/ TCC stuff with good company and lots of laughter.

2. clubbing: (def courtesy of hugh) tanglin clubbing, SICC-ing, country clubbing, senior citizen clubbing- all also having to be done with good friends.

3. driving: people up the wall. lol.

4. hitting on: a thing penny does when she gets embarrassed. she hits on certain areas for extra emphasis.

5. weepy: (ultimate example) sugi watching korean dramas or hitch...

6. cluster: a thing people do when they are in eski bar's cold room. (ie daphne, sugi, iain, mel and I in full prom regalia)

7. manicure: a vaccine that is needed to cure the current trend of men who do not know the difference between heavy flirting and actual love. (pedicure would be for the padi fields ok?)

OMG that was lame. okok.. continuing on with commentary.

so then we trooped to paragon for sushi teh... bleah. haha. walked around and headed home after that. listening to Good Day by The Click Five now. ^_^ (I like this song better than she's the girl sugi. eh btw, wats up with your "girl" themed things ah... haha.. you know what I'm listening to now? "The Best of Korean Love themes" can you believe it? I bought it in 1999 when autumn in my heart was released. lol. And it's absolutely beautiful. ^^ maybe I should concentrate- on work, apps and korean dramas. LOL. If anybody has any other better ideas for 2 weeks, tell me k? ohhh... and I need to go to a christian bookshop. DAPHNE!!! wanna go with me? ^^ need to get stuff. call me k peeps? God bless!
