The title of my post was going to be great expectations due to unexpected circumstances, but then I'm officially happy now.. ^_^ The cause of my happiness: Mels, Pen, Sugi came home!!! hahaha... well...now to document the chronicles of great expectations..
Once upon a time, a group of people who expected the level of singapore's hotels to be of reasonable standard, stumbled upon-horror of horrors one that didn't match the image in their minds..due to the fact that the ppl there were advertising it as a "resort"..
1) the carpet leading up to toilet was mouldy
2) dead moths and beetles on the carpet
3) the buffet "spread" was two main dishes -_-"
4) the curtain-blinds had fallen and were not replaced
5) two staff looked after the concierge
6) you had to pull your luggage to your room (3rd floor)
7) there was one lift that sounded like a generator was dying each time someone used it and it was outside my room
8) the air conditioning was on at 17 degrees celsius but the room felt like a sauna
9) no cable!!!! no internet!!!! [sighs]
10) the door: a) was soooo thin you could hear EVERYTHING outside b) had a lock that was half-ripped off from the wall c) had a door lock that was jammed all the time
So...the people from singapore had an interesting experience in an island resort that looked dilapidated and old and run down.. (felt that it was xing teng[heartache]..sighs) and the musical fountain was a wasted opportunity..the sound system was so horrid..sighs..
But, when everyone came home (meaning mels, penny, sugi, kathi, kristi, nic, marcus, debbie, yaan neng and esther lee) it made things all better!!! ^_^ love!!! will write soon.
